1. Who Can Use School Progress

You must be at least 13 years old to use School Progress. If you're under 18, please make sure you have permission from a parent or guardian before creating an account.

2. Your Account

School Progress uses Google OAuth for secure sign-in. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Keep your account secure
• Not share your account with others
• Take responsibility for all activity under your account

3. Acceptable Use

Please use School Progress responsibly. Don't:

• Use the service for anything illegal or harmful
• Try to hack, break, or disrupt the service
• Impersonate others or share false information
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Use bots or automated tools without permission
• Copy, redistribute, or resell any part of School Progress

4. Your Data

You can create and store content in School Progress, including your school selection, class enrollments, schedules, and custom theme settings.

You own your data. By using our service, you give us permission to store and display your content so we can provide the service to you. We won't use your data for any other purpose.

Please don't upload anything that violates others' rights or contains malicious code.

5. Intellectual Property

The School Progress website, including its code, design, features, and branding, is owned by Grant Garbe. You may use the service but may not copy, modify, or redistribute it without permission.

6. Third-Party Services

School Progress uses third-party services to function:

• Google OAuth - For secure authentication
• Google Analytics - To understand how users interact with the site

When you use School Progress, you're also agreeing to these services' terms and privacy policies.

7. Service Availability

School Progress is provided as a completely free service. As a student-run project:

• Features may change, be added, or removed at any time
• The service may occasionally experience downtime
• We can't guarantee 24/7 availability
• The service may be modified or discontinued in the future

8. Account Termination

You can leave anytime. To delete your account, email account-deletion@schoolprogress.app.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or pose security risks.

9. Disclaimers

School Progress is provided "as is." While we work hard to make it reliable:

• We don't guarantee the service will always be available
• We don't guarantee it will be error-free or bug-free
• We can't guarantee your data won't be lost
• We're not responsible if the service doesn't meet your needs

Use the service at your own risk. Please back up important information.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, School Progress and Grant Garbe are not liable for any damages, data loss, or other issues arising from your use of the service. This is a free, student-run project provided without warranty.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of School Progress after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
